I spent 6 days in Uganda, first in the area of Mutanda Lake and then on Bunyonyi Lake, visiting beautiful and hard places and sites.
Travelling along the lakes, around the many islands scattered all around, I had the opportunity to visit wonderful places, meet many people and children and see rare wildlife. The journey was enriched by visiting the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (where we tracked the Busingye Gorilla) and the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park (tracking Golden Monkeys).
Particularly interesting was hearing the troubled story of the Batwa people; you can find some pictures of their children here in the Children of Uganda gallery below.
