Roma, St Peter and St Paul’s Fireworks (29/06/2025)

According to tradition, the spectacle was created by Michelangelo Buonarroti for the celebrations of Saints Peter and Paul, founders of the Church and patrons of the city of Rome.

The firework show originated around the 15th century, when the Papal State celebrated the main festivities with fires set up above the entrance to Castel Sant’Angelo to form a pinwheel, with a famous fountain at the end gushing over the entire monument (text from Wikipedia).
