Time to visit again a beautiful place in Roma, the Galleria Borghese, situated near the border of the wide Villa Borghese.
The Borghese Gallery is an Italian state museum, located in the beautiful Villa Borghese in Rome. It still houses a large part of the art collection started by Scipione Borghese, cardinal nephew of Pope Paul V, who was also responsible for the construction of the villa itself.
Without any doubt, it can be considered unique in the world in terms of the number and importance of Bernini sculptures and Caravaggio paintings. But it has also a beautiful oil on wood by Raffaello (the so called Baglioni Deposition), as well as the famous Amor sacro e amor profano (Sacred Love and Profano Love) by Tiziano and many other important works by other important artist.
Here you may find a small example of such a beautiful collection.
